10 August 1996 · Manifesto — written just after leaving high school.

I am a prime mover. I am driven by the need to promote progress and to advocate autonomy for every individual person. I left high school in order to escape altruistic influences. I am now in good order to begin executing the designs of my goals. This composition is to lay out in print what my goals are and how they will help shape the world that ought to be.

It is my profound opinion that science liberates man. I will establish an independent industry that will research and develop cybernetic technology in order to enhance the abilities of mankind. Note: my technology improves individuals–it gives power to a single person, power that a group cannot control. This establishment shall be mine under the name Prime Cybernetics, a division of Prime Industries Inc. My ultimate goal: immortality.

Simultaneously, I will incorporate an enterprise that will fund my research lab and itself. This division, also part of Prime Industries Inc., will be called Prime Interstellar Mining. Taken from an idea presented in Stephen R. Donaldson’s Gap Saga, PIM will establish mining colonies on Mars and the Moon. The abundance of minerals rare to earth will make such a venture lucrative, as well as situate my hand in space affairs.

Of course, these will take time to build. My empire will begin with smaller, less complicated concerns. These, in their multitude, will provide the leverage, experience, and funds to execute my more grandiose plans. In time–and if all goes well, I shall have an unlimited supply of it–I will have the knowledge and power to change things for the better.

On a political level, I will found the Individuals for Autonomy (IFA) party. The IFAP will do what it can to defend the rights of the solitary man, while reducing power held by altruistic organizations. In reference to “Something for Nothing,” an early Rush song, I’ll state that you can’t have freedom for free. Government should be funded by the people it serves. This means that people wanting the protection of a secure government will have to pay for it, with money, work, whatever. Those who don’t won’t. Taxes can be defined as “acquisitions of valuables using force.” I can make it work. Finally, legislation will be kept to it’s minimal essential level: protecting individual’s rights. And that’s it.

That’s it.
